Dana Linnell Wanzer
Dana Linnell Wanzer holds a Master’s degree in positive developmental psychology and a PhD in evaluation and applied research methods. She previously earned Bachelor’s degrees in music education and psychology at California State University, Fullerton. Currently, Dana is an assistant professor of psychology in evaluation at University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Dana's research interests include research on evaluation, including examining how evaluators adjust their evaluations to be developmentally appropriate, how political situations affect evaluation, effective data visualization principles in evaluation, and how evaluators can serve as the bridge between researchers and practitioners. She is also interested in aesthetic experiences, applied developmental psychology, and non-cognitive outcomes in adolescents and young adults. Her evaluation work typically focuses on youth programs such as afterschool programs, college access programs, and STEM and computer science education programs.
