Lea graduated from CGU in the fall of 2019 with dual master’s degrees in public health and psychology. For two years Lea worked in the Youth Development Evaluation Lab evaluating Montebello Unified School District’s Extended Learning Opportunities program. In August 2020 Lea will be moving to Atlanta, GA to begin a two-year evaluation fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The CDC Evaluation Fellowship Program is highly competitive, with less than 15% of applicants being selected as a fellow. The fellowship aims to expand the evaluation capacity of CDC programs and elevate the usefulness and impact of evaluations. Lea will be serving at the Population Health Workforce Branch of the Division of Scientific Education and Professional Development, where she will have the opportunity to apply all six steps of the CDC Evaluation Framework to evaluate a variety of fellowship and workforce development programs.
