Kate LaVelle received a doctorate in applied developmental psychology with an emphasis in program evaluation from CGU in 2010. She currently works as a Senior Evaluator at Professional Data Analysts, Inc. (PDA), an independent public health evaluation company located in Minneapolis, MN. She contributes to multiple statewide public health initiatives, including comprehensive cancer control programs in Ohio and Vermont, and tobacco prevention and control efforts in North Dakota. 

 Prior to PDA, Kate worked at university-based evaluation centers, including the Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement (CAREI) at the University of Minnesota, the Social Research and Evaluation Center (SREC) at Louisiana State University, and the Evaluation Center at Claremont Graduate University. She conducted external evaluations of educational programs in the contexts of K-12, early childhood, out-of-school time, curriculum and instruction, STEM, higher education, and school-based mental health.
