Kandice is in her fourth year of the Evaluation and Applied Research Methods PhD program at Claremont Graduate University. She has worked on a couple of evaluations through the Youth Development Evaluation lab. These evaluations have been largely focused on ensuring high-quality implementation and fidelity of afterschool programs in Los Angeles.
Kandice has worked in evaluation ever since her first job out of college and she has loved every minute of it. Her favorite part of working on evaluations is the opportunity to meet new people and work in new communities. As a generalist, she loves working on projects in multiple fields, but what really gets her going is working on evaluations with community-based programs that help to improve local underserved communities. It makes her feel like she is part of building a better future for everyone – one program at a time. Kandice is not currently on any projects, but she is still offering support where she can.
