Brenda Miranda, Ph.D., is a Research Scientist in the Early Childhood Development research area at Child Trends. Dr. Miranda has 10 years of experience conducting research and evaluations related to the promotion of children’s development. Over the past decade, Dr. Miranda has worked with local programs, as well as county, state, and federal government agencies. Her work has focused on building organizations’ data-driven decision-making capacities, evaluating efforts to support children’s development, and translating research into accessible resources. Her research interests include early childhood development, early childhood quality, and the early childhood workforce. Currently, she works with state and federal policy leaders to examine the implementation and impact of their policies and identify ways they can be improved.
