Nagisa Sunako is an MA student in the Positive Developmental Psychology and Evaluation Program at Claremont Graduate University. She received her BS degree in Psychology with a minor in Education, Learning, and Societies at the University of Washington.
Currently, Nagisa is involved in research and evaluation projects with the Regional Learning Collaborative (RLC). The projects she is involved in include supporting students who are planning or currently going through the 2-year to 4-year institution transfer process through engagement of student and staff voices, and developing an online resource that maps out programs, supports, and resources for students and parents across the Pomona Unified School District Pipeline.
Nagisa hopes to continue to learn how to promote positive youth development and bridge the gap between research and practice through applied research during her time at Claremont Graduate University and beyond. Through her work, she hopes to encourage collaboration through community and research partnerships, provide equitable opportunities and outcomes for youth and families, especially those of marginalized communities, and in the long-term, contribute to making a systems-level impact.
She enjoys taking too many photos of her dog, spending time with family and friends, skiing, attempting to cook/bake, and playing games.
